On March 9, 2002 Santiago High School JROTC held its fifth annual Military Ball. This year it was held at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge. The doors opened at 6:30, followed by the Opening ceremony, Color Guard Presentation, the Introduction of Guest, Dinner, the Cake Cutting Ceremony, the Coronation of King and Queen and their court and final at 8:30pm the dance floor was opened. A total of 122 cadets attended. The Guest of the night were: Mrs. Lombardi, Mr and Mrs. Merito, Exalted ruler Earl Bieker and wife, Miss Herrera, C/COL Ryan Clarque, C/LTC Yesenia Garcia, C/LTC Glenn Kosawa, C/COL Alex Yin, C/CPT Seth Stevens and 1SG Steins wife and LTC Wandkes wife. The King and Queen and their court was as follows: 2002 JROTC King C/MAJ Martin Gallegos, 2002 JROTC Queen C/CSGM Cathy Landa, LET 1 Prince C/SGT Yonny Leon, LET 1 Princess C/SGT Roxanna Aguilar, LET 2 Prince C/2LT Anthony Nguyen, LET 2 Princess C/2LT Kim Nguyen, LET 3 Prince C/SFC Armando Solano, and LET 3 Princess C/CPT Haydee Murillo. Conratulations to the winners. The DJ of the night was Michael Huyhn, Jimmy Bui, Rene... A photographer was also available for the cadets who wished to take pictures. The dance was a lot of fun, the cadets enjoyed a good time with their dates and friends. We would like to thank all the cadets who attended. For some it was their last year attending for others their first, but it was a very memorable night for everyone. Overall the military ball was a great success, we would like to thank all the cadets who attended.
